[Aviation News] Beijing’s international route network will soon add two new European services. Capital Airlines plans to launch a nonstop route between Beijing Daxing and Lisbon, while Air China will open a new Beijing–Venice service. Capital Airlines announced that it will launch a new international route between Beijing Daxing International Airport and Lisbon, Portugal, starting June 22, 2026. The service will operate once weekly on Monday using an Airbus A330 widebody aircraft.

The Beijing Daxing–Lisbon route will become the airport’s first nonstop intercontinental service to Lisbon and Capital Airlines’ second direct China–Portugal route. Together with the existing Hangzhou–Lisbon service, the airline will establish a dual-hub network covering both the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and the Yangtze River Delta with nonstop access to Lisbon.Passengers will also be able to connect via TAP Air Portugal’s Lisbon hub to destinations including São Paulo, Toronto, and multiple cities across Europe and Africa.

Meanwhile, Air China announced that it will launch a new route between Beijing Capital International Airport and Venice starting July 2, 2026. The service, operated under flight numbers CA973/974, will operate on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday using Airbus A330 aircraft.

Air China currently operates daily flights from Beijing Capital to Rome and Milan, while an additional Beijing Daxing–Milan route is scheduled to launch on June 13. Following the launch of the Venice route, Air China’s Beijing–Italy network will expand to four routes.
