Air Astana to Launch Direct Flights Between Guangzhou and Astana

[Press Release] Air Astana will launch new twice weekly flights between Guangzhou and Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, starting June 3, 2026. The new route is planned to operate every Wednesday and Friday, using the latest generation Airbus A321LR aircraft. Flight KC8218 from Guangzhou to Astana will depart from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport (CAN) at 05:45 every Wednesday and Friday, arriving at Astana Nur-Sultan Nazarbayev International Airport (NQZ) at 10:10, with a flight time of approximately 7 hours and 25 minutes. Flight KC8217 from Astana to Guangzhou will depart from Astana Nur-Sultan Nazarbayev International Airport (NQZ) at 18:45 every Tuesday and Thursday, arriving at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport (CAN) at 04:30 the following day, with a flight time of approximately 6 hours and 45 minutes. Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, is the country’s political center and a vital cultural, economic, and transportation hub. The new route will help strengthen business, tourism, and cultural ties between Kazakhstan and China. Passengers departing from Guangzhou will be able to conveniently transit through Astana to destinations within Kazakhstan, as well as Frankfurt, Istanbul, Larnaca, and other cities.

Air Astana has been operating a Guangzhou-Almaty route since March 2025, with four flights per week currently.

Tickets for the new route are now on sale. Passengers can purchase tickets through Air Astana’s website, mobile application, authorized travel agencies, and online travel agencies (OTAs).
