Vietnam Airlines to Launch Direct Hangzhou–Hanoi Route

Vietnam Airlines has announced that it will launch a direct route between Hangzhou and Hanoi on November 22, 2026, further expanding its route network in the Chinese market and providing more convenient air services for passengers traveling between Hangzhou and Vietnam.

The new route is scheduled to operate four times a week, on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays, using Airbus A321 aircraft. The one-way flight time will be approximately three hours and 20 minutes. The new service will further strengthen air connectivity between Hangzhou and Hanoi, facilitating business travel, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges between the two cities.

As Vietnam’s capital, Hanoi is a major political, economic, and cultural center, as well as an important gateway connecting Vietnam with international markets. Hangzhou, an important economic and cultural city in China, has ample opportunities for cooperation with Hanoi in trade, tourism, and cultural exchange. The launch of the direct route will further improve connectivity between the two cities, facilitate the movement of people and resources, and provide more convenient air links for China–Vietnam economic cooperation and people-to-people exchanges.

Vietnam Airlines currently operates routes connecting Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou with Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. With the launch of the new Hangzhou–Hanoi route, the airline’s total number of weekly flights between China and Vietnam will reach 42. Vietnam Airlines will continue to optimize its route network and offer passengers in both countries more travel options, helping to deepen bilateral exchanges and cooperation.

Tickets for the new route are now on sale through the official Vietnam Airlines website, mobile app, and authorized travel agents.
