[Press Release] Air Astana has announced increased frequencies on its services between Guangzhou and Kazakhstan’s two largest cities, Almaty and Astana. Effective August 23, 2026, the Guangzhou–Astana route will increase from two to three weekly flights. Beginning August 28, 2026, the Guangzhou–Almaty service will expand from five weekly flights to daily operations, increasing to seven flights per week.
Following the expansion, Air Astana will operate a total of 10 weekly flights to and from Guangzhou. The additional frequencies will further strengthen air connectivity between South China and Central Asia, providing greater convenience for business travel, leisure tourism, and visiting friends and relatives. During the 2026 summer-autumn schedule, Air Astana will operate a total of 41 weekly flights between Kazakhstan and China.
As Kazakhstan’s two principal aviation hubs, Almaty and Astana offer extensive domestic connections to major cities across the country, including Shymkent, Atyrau, Aktau, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Kyzylorda, Aktobe and Uralsk. Through Air Astana’s international network, passengers can also conveniently connect to destinations across Central Asia, the Caucasus, Europe and South Asia, including Tashkent, Dushanbe, Bishkek, Tbilisi, Baku, Istanbul, Bodrum, Antalya, Larnaca, Frankfurt, London, Delhi and Mumbai.
