Vietnam Airlines opened new route from Beijing Daxing to Ho Chi Minh City

Vietnam Airlines, Vietnam’s national flag carrier, announced that it officially opened a new route from Beijing Daxing to Ho Chi Minh City from March 30, 2025, thereby expanding its route network in China.

According to the new plan, the new route will be operated by Airbus A321, with 5 flights per week, departing from Ho Chi Minh City’s Tan Son Nhat International Airport (SGN) at 0:45 on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays, and arriving at Beijing Daxing International Airport (PKX) at 6:30; departing from Beijing Daxing International Airport (PKX) at 8:30 on the same day and arriving at Ho Chi Minh City’s Tan Son Nhat International Airport (SGN) at 12:25. In addition to the new route from Beijing Daxing Airport, Vietnam Airlines will also increase the frequency of flights from Beijing Capital Airport to Hanoi from the original 5 flights per week to daily starting from the summer and autumn flight season of 2025. By then, Vietnam Airlines will operate routes from both Beijing Capital Airport and Daxing Airport to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam.

With the opening of the new route from Beijing Daxing Airport to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam Airlines will operate 6 regular routes in mainland China, and the total number of regular flights per week will increase to 40, connecting Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City from the three major cities of Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou.

The launch of the new route consolidates Vietnam Airlines’ leading position as the main airline connecting China and Vietnam, and further strengthens its strategic position in the Asian market. Ho Chi Minh City is one of the most prosperous cities in Vietnam, as well as the economic center and largest port city of Vietnam. The opening of the new route from Beijing to Ho Chi Minh City will greatly facilitate the cooperation and development in the fields of economy, trade, culture and tourism between the two countries. Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi are both the most important aviation hubs in Vietnam. Passengers departing from China can conveniently transfer to more than 20 destinations in Vietnam through these two cities.
