At 11:50 on May 29, 2024, Gulf Air Flight GF124 landed at Shanghai Pudong International Airport from the capital of Bahrain, Manama. Crossing the “water salute”, which symbolizes the highest courtesy in civil aviation, marked the official launch of China’s first international direct flight route between the two countries.
According to the schedule, the Shanghai-Bahrain route operated by Gulf Air is four flights per week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. IThe new route is operated by the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, and the business class seats it is equipped with are regarded as one of the most luxurious in the industry.Gulf Air is the national airline of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
