Air China will resume its direct Beijing Capital–Pyongyang service starting March 30, 2026

[Aviation News]    According to the flight schedule, flight CA121 will depart from Beijing Capital International Airport at 08:05 Beijing time and arrive at Pyongyang Sunan International Airport at 11:00 local time, with a flight duration of approximately 1 hour and 55 minutes, operated by a Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

Tickets for the service are now available through Air China’s official website and online travel platforms such as Ctrip, with economy class fares starting from RMB 2,040.

The route had been suspended since the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, and its resumption will reestablish regular passenger air services between China and North Korea, complementing the Pyongyang–Beijing flights operated by Air Koryo and providing additional travel options for business exchanges, family visits, and cultural interactions.

Notably, prior to the resumption of flights, international passenger train services between Beijing, Dandong, and Pyongyang had already resumed bidirectional operations on March 12, marking the gradual restoration of cross-border transportation links between the two countries.
